25 answers on how the platform works, what happens to your money and what verification asks of you — written from the documents linked at the foot of this page.
General questions
What the platform is, how a trade is decided, and what you need before you can place one.
What is binary trading and how does it work here?
You pick a market, a stake and an expiry time, then choose whether the price will finish higher or lower. If you are right at expiry you receive the payout shown on the ticket before you commit; if you are wrong you lose the stake. Nothing else is at risk — there is no margin call and you cannot lose more than you staked on a position.
Do I have to deposit anything to try it?
No. The demo account is the same platform rather than a cut-down version — same quotes, same execution, same expiries — and you can open it without funding anything. You can reset the demo balance whenever you want to start a test cleanly.
Which markets can I trade?
Forex majors and minors, commodities including gold and oil, major indices, a selection of stocks, and crypto pairs. Available expiries and payouts differ per market and are shown on the ticket before you commit.
What decides whether my trade won?
The price at the moment your expiry falls, against the price your position opened at. Both are recorded on the position and stay in your history. The Rules of Trading Operations set out how a trade is requested, executed and closed; it is linked at the foot of this page.
What happens if the price finishes exactly where it started?
That is a draw, and your stake is returned. It is neither a win nor a loss, and it is recorded as its own outcome rather than being folded into either.
Can I close a position before expiry?
Often, yes. A position can be exited once it is more than 30 seconds old and more than 10 seconds from its expiry, and the amount you would receive is shown before you confirm it. Inside the last few seconds the option is withdrawn, because a price that is about to settle is not one you can be quoted against.
Why was my order rejected?
An order can be refused rather than filled — most often because the market moved between the request and the execution, or because the market was closed or suspended at that moment. The terminal tells you either way: an accepted order appears in your positions, a rejected one does not and is not charged.
Do you charge a commission on trades?
No. When a trade closes, the payout is added to your balance and no commission is taken from it. Costs that do exist are on the funding side rather than the trading side — see the financial questions.
What do I need to open an account?
An email address and a password to start. You will be asked for your personal details, your account currency and, before you withdraw, identity documents — see the verification questions for what those are and how long they take.
Financial questions
Funding an account, taking money out, what it costs and how long each step takes.
How do I add funds?
From the account area, choose a method and an amount and follow it through. The methods available to you depend on the country your account is registered in, and the ones you can use are the only ones shown.
How quickly does a deposit appear?
Your account is credited within one business day of the funds reaching the company account — in practice cards and crypto are usually much faster than that. If a payment you have made has not arrived within five business days, raise it with support and it will be traced.
How do I withdraw?
Send a withdrawal request from the account area. It goes back to the method you funded with, in your own name — funds cannot be sent on to a third party, and a request that would do that is refused rather than delayed. The Payment Policy sets out the conditions a request has to meet.
What does a withdrawal cost?
Any payment charges, commissions and the conversion rate that applies are set by the company and can change, so the figure that matters is the one shown on your request before you confirm it. There is no commission on the trading side — that cost sits here, on the funding side, or nowhere.
I entered the wrong payment details. What happens?
You are responsible for the details you enter, and if a withdrawal fails to arrive because they were wrong, the costs of putting it right fall to you. It is worth checking the account details against the ones in your account area before confirming, because a wrong transfer is slower and more expensive to unwind than it is to avoid.
Can I get a refund?
A refund is a withdrawal: you can request your funds back, in full or in part, at any time, subject to the same conditions and checks as any other withdrawal. The Payment Policy covers this under Refund.
Why has my withdrawal been held?
Usually verification. A withdrawal can also be paused if the documents requested were not supplied in time, if the information given does not match the account, or where the company is required to make checks before releasing funds. If something is needed from you, you will be told what it is.
Am I taxed on what I make?
Tax is yours to handle. The company does not calculate, withhold or report it for you, and what is owed depends on where you live. If you are unsure, take advice locally — the Payment Policy covers this under Taxes.
What currency is my account held in?
You choose it when you register. Deposits and withdrawals in another currency are converted at the rate applied at the time, which is shown on the transaction.
Verification
Who has to verify, which documents are accepted, how long it takes and what gets a document rejected.
Why do I have to verify my account?
Because the company is required to know who it is holding money for. Verification confirms that the account, the documents and the payment method belong to the same person, which is also what stops somebody else withdrawing against your account.
When do I need to do it?
You can register and trade a demo account without it. Verification is requested before funds are released, and the company can ask for it at any point if something needs confirming. Doing it early is simply faster than doing it at the moment you want your money.
What documents are accepted?
A government identity document — a passport or a driving licence — and a document confirming your address. Depending on the checks required, you may also be asked for documents showing the source of the funds you are depositing. The Non-Trading Operations Regulations set out what can be requested.
How long does verification take?
Up to 10 working days from the point you are asked to confirm your details. In some cases it can be extended to 30 working days — that is the outside limit set in the Payment Policy, not the usual outcome, and it is normally much faster.
Why was my document rejected?
Most rejections are one of three things: the file is unreadable, the details on it do not match the details on the account, or it arrived after the period you were given. Photograph the whole document, flat and in focus, with the corners in frame and nothing cropped — a clear photo of a valid document passes first time.
Can I keep trading while it is being checked?
Trading is generally unaffected while a check is running. What verification gates is taking money out, which is why it is worth completing before you need to.
What happens to the documents I send?
They are used to identify you and to meet the checks the company has to make, and they are handled under the Privacy Policy, which is linked at the foot of this page and sets out what is collected, what it is used for and how it is kept.
